A Maryland-based company that develops and manufactures respiratory devices is expanding into Exeter.

Vapotherm Inc., of Stevensville, Md., recently signed a five-year-lease to occupy 22,000 square feet in a currently occupied building at 22 Industrial Drive.

The building is currently occupied by SeaView Technologies. Representatives from SeaView couldn’t be reached for comment on Monday afternoon.

Lindsey Becker, an executive assistant from Vapotherm, said the company will be moving some of its manufacturing to the Exeter location.

“The purpose of our move to New Hampshire is to start focusing on the Greater-Boston, Seacoast area,” Becker said. “We want to grow in that market.”

Becker said the expansion into New Hampshire will create more jobs but she was unable to say how many.

Becker said the hope is to have the facility up and running by the start of the new year.
