EXETER, NH, September 13, 2016 – Vapotherm is pleased to announce a partnership with Passy Muir to bring respiratory therapists education on Interdisciplinary Practices for Ventilator and Tracheostomy Liberation. This first of its kind symposium will be an in-depth look at membrane heated humidification and no-leak speaking valves as best practices in the management of tracheostomy patients to improve outcomes.
To round out the presentation, case studies from Gaylord Hospital will be presented that demonstrate the use of both technologies as part of the facility’s weaning and decannulation protocols. Gaylord Hospital is a recognized Center of Excellence for both Vapotherm and Passy Muir.
The symposium demonstrates Vapotherm’s commitment to continuing education for respiratory therapists. With a clinical field team that consists entirely of licensed respiratory therapists, the company recognizes the important role these clinicians play in the care of patients, and the importance of providing continuing education events.
The symposium will be held on Friday, September 30 at Madonna Rehabilitation Hospital in Lincoln, NE and is free to attend. CEUs will be provided to attendees.
